Jesus said multiple times in the Gospel of John that if you love Him, you obey His commandments. And really, very simply, that is what it means to be a Christian. That's what it means to walk in Christ. We're told seven times, for example, in the Book of Ephesians to walk with the Lord, and we're given specifics on what that walk looks like. In our culture today, even in the American evangelical culture, antinomianism, the idea that there is no law for the Christian, has become very prevalent. Free grace theology, which is so very dangerous, because it tells us that if I, at one time, when I was six years old said, "I believe in Jesus," that there's no need for me to obey Him anymore, there's no need for me to follow after Him. But the fact is, Jesus gave that as the proof of love for Him. "If you love me, you obey my commandments." And so all the commandments of Christ is found in the New Testament. That's how we walk with the Lord.
