I'm always amazed that sometimes the questions that I and some of my pastor friends get are not really related to Scripture, and yet they're where we live. And one question is the idea of boycotting a company because they stand for something that we don't agree with or certainly that is counter to Scripture.

I think at the top of our answer, the top has to be that you have to do that which does not violate your own conscience. If something's very blatant and you just cannot bring yourself to support that particular organization, then of course, then you should boycott that organization. And the only way to do that effectively is to let them know you're doing it. If you don't say anything, then it really has no impact. However, we do live in a sinful world.

And the fact is, you would have to ultimately completely isolate yourself from all of society in order to successfully boycott everything that represents something sinful. So you have to use your own conscience as a guide in this particular case. But an important point is that your conscience is not a guide for another. Your conscience is a guide for you only.
