One of the things I love about the Bible is that God has written it as a story. It is a narrative, start to finish with, of course, all kinds of different elements, such as poetry and prophecy, and so forth, but within the story of the Bible, within the redemptive plan of God, we see men and women to whom we can look as examples. And one of my favorites is the Apostle Paul. Paul was the consummate example of what it means to pour yourself out for the sake of Christ, for the sake of the Gospel. In fact, near the end of his life, when writing Timothy, he used that Old Testament illustration of a drink offering, and he said he was being poured out like a drink offering, that he is being finished up before the Lord, and it was his desire, and I pray it's your desire, to pour out everything for godly family, for being a godly church member, for being godly in your conduct. In everything you do, pour out yourself for Christ.
