When we look at the whole Bible, there is a redemptive plan of God from Genesis to Revelation, and it's not immediate and believe it or not, the entire plan of God is not centered around you and not centered around me. So while the cross of Christ has accomplished the defeat of sin and death and Satan, we still deal with our own sin. In Romans chapter seven, Paul lamented that he did the things he didn't wanna do and he didn't do the things he ought to do. We will deal with our own death, that is just a fact. But those are simply the leftover remnants of our sin nature. They're just leftovers, but it's like a disease that has already been cured but the symptoms are still there. But the Bible says that when you die, when you close your eyes for the last time, you will be at home with the Lord. You will receive a resurrection body, and sin and death will be defeated.
