You know, some of you are built for leadership. In fact, 1 Timothy 3:1 says if any man aspires to the office of overseer or elder, it is a fine work he desires to do. So, for example, in the context of the church, desiring leadership is actually shown to be a godly thing. This is a good thing. Now, whether or not you're gifted and talented in that direction is a matter for your own church leadership to determine. But on the bigger stage, the stage of the whole world, you may be in a situation where you can't aspire to more, where perhaps you're stuck in a certain way. Well, in that case, then what God has called you to is to be the very best at whatever you're doing, to be godly, to be an example, to be someone that others can look up to as a model of contentment, a model of being okay with being the small one, with being the little one, with being the one behind the scenes. Let that be okay, even as you pray about and aspire to leadership.
