If God is Sovereign, Why Should we Evangelize?

Arguably, the greatest evangelist of all time since the Apostle Paul was a man by the name of George Whitfield, he preached to countless millions of people in an age before any sort of media or technology, he believed with all of his heart in the sovereignty of God and yet he plead with people to come to faith in Jesus Christ, he begged them to receive Christ as their Savior. We preach the gospel in light of the sovereignty of God. Yes, God has chosen his elect but he has also chosen the means by which his elect are brought into the Kingdom and that is the solid and the imploring preaching of the gospel. So it is our duty, it is commanded by God and we are commanded to preach the gospel to those who need to hear which is the whole world.

Posiblemente, el mas grande evangelista de todos los tiempos desde el Apóstol Pablo fue alguien llamado George Whitfield, predicaba a millones de personas en una era antes de los medios o tecnología, creía con todo su corazón en la soberanía de Dios y aún así suplicaba a la gente que viniera a la fe en Jesús Cristo, les imploraba que recibieran a Cristo como su salvador. Predicamos el Evangelio bajo la luz de la soberanía de Dios. Sí, Dios ya tiene a sus elegidos, pero también ha elegido la forma en que son llevados al Reino y es la predicación sólida e implorante del Evangelio. Por eso es nuestro deber y orden de Dios, se nos ordena predicar el Evangelio a todos los que necesiten oírlo, a todo el mundo.
