The question is sometimes asked, I believe Jesus is my Savior but I'm not sure if He's my Lord. Well the fact is, if He's not your Lord, then he's not your Savior either. He will not be divided. Christ is the Savior. He is The Lord. The question simply remains, whether he is your Savior and your Lord. It is a very dangerous thing to think the Christ can somehow be my Savior, and at a later time, I will make Him my Lord. There is nothing biblical about that. The fact is, is that you must deny yourself, you must take up your cross, and you must follow Christ. He cannot be Savior but not Lord. He is going to be both. You come to faith in Christ through repentance, through changing your mind about your sin, through a desire, a deep yearning to turn away from your sin. That alone says that you are making Christ your Lord. I turn away from my sin, and I turn to Christ as my Master.
