One of the hardest dynamics to watch in the church is when you see a married couple and one spouse is seeking after Christ and learning the Word of God and growing and seeking Christ-likeness and sanctification and the other one just isn't. Aside from the potential of there being a salvation issue in the one who is not growing, and we'll leave that to the side for now, what do I do as the spouse who is growing and seeking the Lord and hungering and thirsting for righteousness and my spouse just seems to not be that interested?

Well, at the top of the list, it has to be prayer. It has to be that you are patiently praying and asking the Lord to move in your spouse's heart. But beyond that, we could take the example of 1 Peter 3, where a faithful wife is told what to do with an unfaithful husband, and that is to demonstrate a gentle and quiet spirit, and without a word to win him, to win his heart over to the Lord. And so ultimately, when your spouse won't grow in the Lord, you can grow because of that, and it's a means of your own growth.
