Sometimes we're asked genuine questions about how God interacts with us, He being God and we His children, those who believe in Christ. And one question is, will God ever harden my heart?

And I think this maybe comes from reading the book of Exodus where God hardens Pharaoh's heart. Well, if you're a believer in Christ, God will never harden your heart. In fact, He desires the opposite.

He wants your heart to be soft, that you are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. So it would be God working at cross purposes to himself. We're called to walk in the Spirit. We're called to exhibit the fruit of the Spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

All of these tools given to us by the Spirit of God are to cause our hearts to be soft to the will of God. And he'll never harden our hearts.
