So very often Christians want to know how do I get involved in the social issues that seem to be plaguing our world? And one of those that has really infiltrated the church in a very negative way is the idea of climate change.

I'm not a scientist. I won't try to prove to you that climate change is something you need not be afraid of. Although we could do that if we had time. But the Bible gives us something that is a rock-solid promise. It's called the Noahic Covenant. God promised Noah he would never destroy the world with a flood. Now, I know that's specific to a flood, but the significance of the Noahic covenant is that God has promised that he will always preserve a world upon which his redemptive plan will take place, upon which it will be carried out.

So if you're panicked about that 0.6 degrees that this summer is hotter than last summer, don't worry. God is preserving his world, and he will do so until he destroys it. We will not destroy the world, but he will. But take heart, if you're in Christ, you won't be here.
