Satan has for centuries been trying to mimic God by coming disguised as an angel of light (2 Cor 11:14), and one of his old stand-by tricks is to present false representations of Christ himself. Today, one of the most successful deception campaigns ever waged by Satan is the book, Jesus Calling, by Sarah Young, as well as the host of subsequent related best-sellers. Based on New Age ideas of channeling the thoughts of spirits, Jesus Calling presents Jesus speaking in the first person which Sarah Young claims are the impressions given her directly by Christ. In this sermon series, Steve shows the dangers of this sort of spiritual deception and shows us instead the actual voice of Christ as heard in John 10 and 11. You will be comforted and encouraged by hearing what Christ truly has to say, even as Jesus himself says at the beginning of John 10, “Truly, truly, I say to you.”
