Series Synopsis
After having introduced the Pentateuch in five messages (Pentateuch Series 1), Steve explains in Series 2 the major significance of Genesis by taking us on a journey through all 50 chapters. Genesis is the story of the creation of a kingdom to be ruled by God’s vice-regents, mankind made in His image. But the kingdom program is interrupted when man rebels in sin. God then proceeds with His plan to recover the kingdom and redeem mankind from sin. Genesis, the book of beginnings, details the start of that plan which now makes the rest of Scripture clear as the outworking of God’s kingdom program and demonstrates our need for a Savior from heaven, a perfect man to succeed where Adam failed.
