Pre-Flight Checklist, Part 2

When choosing between submitting to Christ as Savior, and believing one’s self to be savior, many people would choose the latter. However, this trust in self is futile. The only qualified savior is Jesus Christ, and here’s why.

Christ is not just a good option for a savior; he is the ONLY option. He is everything we need, and what we could never be ourselves.

Christ is a

Substituting Savior

Because you CANNOT pay your own death penalty

Victorious Savior

Because sin had ALREADY defeated you

Global Savior

Because God had to find you from the uttermost parts of the earth

Preeminent Savior

Because only the VERY TOP being in the universe can defeat death on your behalf

Eternal Savior

Only an ETERNAL Savior can promise YOU eternal life

Promise-Keeping Savior

He MUST be able to FINISH what he starts in you

Empowered Savior

He had to have the power to accomplish a PERFECT LIFE to trade for YOUR sinful life and to accomplish a propitiating DEATH to accomplish for YOU

Uniquely Empowered Savior

To not only LIVE and DIE in perfection but to be ETERNALLY a MAN continually filled with the Holy Spirit as a MODEL of what YOU MUST BE

Prophetic Savior

Fulfilling New Covenant with Spirit of God because you CANNOT enter into God’s presence WITHOUT the indwelling of GOD’S SPIRIT which makes you ABLE to stand before him

Divine Savior

Because HE ALONE has the EAR of the FATHER—he ALONE is given the name that is above every name—HE ALONE can be your advocate because God will LISTEN TO NO ONE ELSE ON YOUR BEHALF EXCEPT FOR HIM!

Christ is not just a good option for a savior; he is the ONLY option. He is everything we need, and what we could never be ourselves.
